5 things that bring me joy this week

I can’t say that I’m feeling very joyous this morning, but rather baffled at the midterm results, especially here in Florida. I saw a post a few days ago that I couldn’t agree with more — I will not mention that name here, as I believe the following quote is self-explanatory “… supporters don’t measure his success by what he does FOR them, they measure by what he does AGAINST people they don’t like. That’s why they see him as “successful”. This is why they will NEVER abandon him. His tormenting of the “others” sustains them”. This quote perfectly sums up the state of affairs today in our country, and perhaps the world…
And because the day has started to go in the wrong direction over here, I am determined to turn it around by focusing on the good things, big and small. So here’s a list of things that bring joy this week:
cool [cozy] weather. Another hurricane headed for Florida brings cooler weather. It’s been much warmer than normal here so far, hence the hurricane so late in the season. The tropical storm/hurricane does not bring joy, but the fall-like weather sure does.
resuming our daily walks. It feels great getting outside every day to clear our heads and get some movement in — highly recommend it! I’ve missed our walks so much this past summer, and we’re eager to make up for the time lost.
these gold and silver holiday shoes (with more colorways available)! A bit ridiculous, but really, they bring me joy, along with these gold crackled metallic heels and these gunmetal lame flats — they’re all so festive (you can save $60 on the Sarah Flint shoes with code SARAHFLINT-BABLOOMINGMAGNOLIAS — 1st-time customers only)! I have a crush on sparkly and/or gold shoes this season — I only have to decide which ones to add to the cart!
scarf season! Finally that we have cooler weather, I’m making a point of wearing the scarves I’ve been collecting. Ah, I still have my eyes on so many more — I have a problem! It is what it is because scarves bring me joy…
securing a pumpkin cheesecake from Trader Joe’s. We all know how difficult it is to get fall-themed stuff from there! I guess it was our lucky day because we found it, and will be serving it on Thanksgiving — can’t wait!
What’s bringing YOU joy this week?

Em
