5 things that bring me joy this week

‘Tis officially the season now that Thanksgiving is behind us, and things are getting festive! Our plans are to get more “active ” and “involved” this holiday season, starting with a neighborhood dinner we’ll be participating in this weekend — how fun! We’ve never done anything like this before, especially in a community we’re new to, so we’ll see how that goes. We’ll also be honoring our annual tradition of donating to Toys for Tots, among other things, so I hope you consider doing the same this holiday season.
With so much going on, I’m continuing to make the time to appreciate the little things by highlighting 5 things that bring me joy this week. Here they are:
Enzo really enjoying the Thanksgiving turkey. It was his first time trying turkey, and he absolutely loved it — we had a hard time trying to keep him away from it! Though seeing his “question mark” tail sure brought us joy.
the Christmas decorations popping up everywhere. ‘Tis the season, and good luck not feeling at least the tiniest bit of joy when seeing that.
this peacock clutch/evening bag. It is stunning and I haven’t stopped thinking about it ever since I saw it; I’m having a bit of a moment with peacocks right now, and this clutch will likely be my next purchase. This one is truly stunning as well!
this “a touch of chili” drinking chocolate. Cooler evenings and nights have made their way to Florida, and I have been finding myself freezing lately. This hot chocolate mix which has just a hint of spicy thanks to its cayenne ingredient is not overly sweet and we love mixing a few teaspoons with water to enjoy when we’re cold. It instantly warms us up! And really, in what world does hot chocolate not bring joy?
seeing all the Giving Tuesday activity on @things.i.bought.and.liked where teachers’ wishlists are being cleared (an annual tradition now). These are teachers serving Title 1 schools and low-income areas, and they truly are making a difference. The list database can be found here — get your wallets and tissues ready!
What’s bringing YOU joy this week?
