5 things that bring me joy this week
Check the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here, a collection of seemingly insignificant things that serve as a reminder to appreciate the little things — those small joys that make a difference in our day-to-day.
Here I am back after another unplanned absence on here.
Life has been hectic these last few months and I had to shift things around to keep going. Though in all honesty, some days and evenings I just “broke” and gave into “doing nothing”, or, better said, just resting.
Rest has a bad rap but I find it crucial in our increasingly overwhelmed world and minds, for both our mental and physical health. So here’s a short explanation for my lack of posting; I tried, but I literally ran out of hours on some days, and on others, I was simply too tired to make my mind think. It’s all good though.
While I missed last week’s 5 things that bring me joy, I didn’t want to skip today’s… Here they are:
finishing Christmas preparations ahead of time. For someone who is not a big fan of last-minute things, this brings joy.
this bag. It’s just so good and it brings me joy every time I see it (and wear it, of course). I think it would make a great gift!
this bag that’s on its way to me. I may be in my bag era currently as that’s what I’ve been drawn to lately. There are a few reasons why this one caught my attention immediately: I’ve been looking for a small red bag; I love the shape and pattern; it’s made of leather (allegedly), and the bee detail on the clasp is adorable! I can’t wait to receive it! P.S. I think this would also make a great gift!
persimmon season. I love this fruit so much that I could eat my weight in it. Luckily, now is their season and I have been satisfying my cravings plentifully.
Enzo. Our little “guy” has been bringing me extra joy lately as he’s been extra sweet with me — it must be the cold weather, haha!
What’s bringing YOU joy this week?
xo,
Em
