As December races through, here comes another installment of my weekly series that highlights 5 [small] things that bring me joy this week:

  • these tiny white and lavender flowers that overtake the grass areas every November-December (pictured above). I call them Florida’s version of snow, though Richardia Grandiflora is its name, and apparently, it’s a non-native, invasive plant. I’m unsure of the “damage” it produces, and I find it adorable, especially as it attracts lots of bees and butterflies, and it just brings joy.

  • this basket bag has been bringing me lots of joy since receiving it. I’m pretty in love with it!

  • this body wash that has bettered my skin after just one use. For years, I’ve been using a plant-based, “clean” body wash, and in the last year or so, my skin has hated it to the point that I developed eczema (I’m sure the body wash is not the only culprit). After getting sick of having dry and itchy skin, I went back to the one I was using prior to switching to the clean brand, and why the hell have I not done this sooner??? In just a few days, my red, dry, and itchy spots have disappeared! This brings so much joy!

  • this fabric shaver! As it’s blanket and sweater season, this device couldn’t be handier! It “revives” sad fabrics by removing pills, fuzz, and lint making your things look like new, and that brings joy! Plus, it would make a great gift as it arrives before Christmas!

  • Enzo’s various and very funny sleeping positions. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I share in my stories fairly frequently the crazy positions Enzo, our kitten, sleeps in. He is a little monster, but I can’t deny that he brings us plenty of joy, as well.

What’s bringing YOU joy this week?

Em
