Maxi dresses I'm loving
I am a fan of maxi dresses, that is for certain. Maxi dresses have been my go-to outfits for years, and I don’t see that changing any time. Though in all honesty, I love a midi dress just as much, since my closet is a mix of both.
But maxi dresses are just the effortless outfit anyone’s looking for. I stand by this statement. Putting on a maxi dress is the easiest of all outfits. Wear it on its own when it’s hot and pair it with espadrilles (these, and these flats ones, too!) or ballet flats, or with slides for a fuss-free look. It’s as easy as that.
For chillier weather, add a classic denim jacket or a cardigan for a casual look, or a blazer for elevated style. And, depending on dress type, you can also wear it with loafers. These are just a few ideas on how to wear maxi dresses…
I do however, not like jersey fabrics. I think it’s difficult to make it look chic (from up-close anyway), and the fabric is not forgiving, as in, it shows too much, in my opinion. Though I will admit that from a comfort point of view, this fabric sure is comfortable as long you don’t wear it on hot days. This was a side note as to why you won’t find me recommending, to my knowledge, jersey dresses. The only exception being dresses that may have a top made of it and a poplin, or even polyester skirt. And when I say that I mean this dress. I already shared that it’s on my wish list.
