My favorite things right now
I’m sure I’m not the only one to have a list of favorite things at any given time. Generally, this list includes things that I’ve recently discovered for the very first time.
Though right now, some of my favorite things are not new, or even new to me, but they deserve to be highlighted for the simple reason that they’re good, and they simplify my life one way or another. I’m pretty loyal, and once I find something I love, I stick with it till the end of time. Here are the things I’m loving right now…
First, and foremost, there’s this dress again (pictured above). I’ve already talked about and showcased this Amazon dress (that I also have in this sage-green color) in several posts, but I’m truly in love with it. It makes me feel like a princess when I wear it, and, honestly, with all the craziness going on in the world right now, I sure as hell will take it. Plus, it makes dressing up a breeze, and that’s a huge plus for me.
The newest additions to my list of favorite things are two skincare products I started using recently.
I’ve shared my love for The Ordinary skincare brand in several blog posts, and while I mentioned the Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution in the most recent one, the Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% is a new-to-me product that I’ve started using lately and simply love.
Both these products offer complexion improvements and promote an overall healthy glow. However, since there is the potential of skin irritation when combining them, aka using at the same time, I alternate their use. Meaning, I apply the Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2 in the morning for antioxidant support and instant glow, and use the Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution at night only, after cleansing my skin. Note that the consistency of the Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% is oil-like, and needs a few minutes to absorb into the skin, hence delaying my morning routine a bit, however, the results are well worth it. My skin is instantly glowing and appears healthier and more firm.
Apart from their benefits, these products are super-affordable. For these reasons, I see myself using them for a long time.
A long-standing product on my favorites list, this leave-in hair treatment (also available on Amazon) takes care of my hair, hence cutting my routine down significantly. I’ve reviewed this creamy spray in this post, and while I alternate my hair care products based on my hair needs, this is still a favorite to this day that I use frequently. Plus, it lasts a long time as you only need a small amount of product, making it very cost-effective. What’s not to love?
And finally, something that makes me happy right now is this bowl of seashells that we’ve collected from various Florida beaches we’ve visited (which is generally permitted as long as you don’t collect “live” ones). Seeing it reminds me of the fun moments we spent there, and for that reason, it makes my favorites list.
What are your favorite things right now?
Until next time.
xoxo,
Em
