Nautical style finds
My outfit is old, but if you want to recreate it, may I suggest this T-shirt, these pants (or these), my backpack, and these loafers.
As you can see, this was one of the looks I wore for a day of exploring in Paris… All I remember from that day was the suffocating humidity (mind you, this was before I experienced Florida’s — it truly wasn’t on the radar at the time…). Luckily, I do have all our Paris adventures captured on the blog, as they happened, so I can always read the posts to remind me…
Overall, this outfit was comfortable; the T-shirt was a bit too clingy (as T-shirts are, the reason I don’t wear them), but the linen pants were great. So… invest in linen pants! Anyway…
NAUTICALLY-INSPIRED fashion has been around forever… and it’s not going anywhere still. There is something about it that exudes elegance with a carefree feeling. And I just love the color combos…
It’s no secret that I love blue in all its shades, and navy is just special… A neutral, but with more personality than black or white, or beige, in my opinion. Yes, I have been avoiding it since moving to Florida, but it’s safe to say that it’s making a major comeback in my closet.
Since nautical style always seems to be a favorite, and especially because of J.Crew’s new arrivals, I wanted to highlight pieces that caught my eye recently. These are sure to elevate your weekend and weekday style.
First and foremost, I wanted to highlight an item that I think is stunning. It doesn’t get more nautical than this captain’s blazer — it’s a true classic!
Another piece that stands out, but is more casual, is this sailor cardigan sweater (size down if you prefer it more fitted).
This squareneck cotton top is a true nautical fashion. It’s cropped so it would go perfectly with high-waisted skirts, shorts, and pants/jeans. It’s a classic!
This knit blazer alludes to nautical vibes, or is it just me? And the same does this collarless boucle jacket — it’s beautiful and at a great price.
Not to discriminate… I think these pants fit right in, what do you think?
