Petition for Hill House to bring back the Jacqueline dress

Hill House Home Jacqueline dress | Blooming Magnolias Blog | Fashion, Style, polka dots, navy dress, old Hollywood glam

To me, this dress is proof that what’s yours makes its way to you.

I wanted the Jacqueline dress the moment I saw it, but I won’t lie, the price tag held me back. I’ve waited and waited for it to go on sale but it sold out before I could get my hands on it — until one fateful day, that is.

I love Hill House Home just as much as the next person. However, I am no longer a fan of smocked bodice dresses. I will continue to wear the ones I have but I won’t be purchasing any others (though I am drooling over the tulle Ellie Nap dress). This means my options are significantly reduced, given that Hill House Home broke the internet with their now-iconic nap dress. But back to the story…

After receiving an email about an epic sale, I went to their site and began scrolling through the pages until I saw it — my dream dress, the Jacqueline. I frantically clicked on it to see the sizes available (the last time I checked, the dress was sold out in my size — based on recommendations, I was eyeing a medium). The dress, of course, was only available in XS and one S on final sale. Knowing it was probably my last chance, I added it to the cart and checked out, putting out into the universe the intention of it fitting me (I’m being dramatic, I know, but for storytelling purposes…)

I was on edge waiting for it to arrive — I was excited and nervous.

Needless to say, the moment I had the package in my hands, I ran to try it on. And I won’t lie, it was a bit of a struggle, but once on, it was like this dress was made on my body. As in, it was perfect! And I fell in love with it, again.

Drama aside, this dress is a classic, no doubt about it. The silhouette is super-flattering and totally reminds me of old Hollywood glam (and yes, I did style it with that in mind). I love the cotton fabric and the extra layer, aka the lining, giving it more volume. The neckline is classy and sexy. Do you see what I mean by it being my dream dress?

All this to say, Hill House Home, please bring back the Jacqueline dress! And while you’re at it, may we have it in more colors, please? Black would be iconic (the perfect LBD!) Oh, and bring back the Margot dress! Pretty please!

The Jacqueline dress may be available in white here. You may be able to find it in navy on resale sites.
