5 things that bring me joy this week
You can check out the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here. It's a collection of seemingly insignificant things that remind us to appreciate the little things—those small joys that make a difference in our daily lives.
The much-dreaded week arrived and it’s been just as bad as many of us knew it would. A post I wrote in 2023, and especially the quotes in it, have been heavy on my mind these days. And though I’m feeling all the feelings this week, I hold that faith. Nothing lasts forever, nothing. I hope you take comfort in that (and faith) and go on as best you can. Guard your mind. Guard your peace. Be smart. Be there for others. Stay safe.
That said, here are 5 random things that bring me some joy this week:
not having to deal with snow. Sure, the photos from the South right now look incredible, but I can’t help but feel bad for the nature there. Snow looks nice and cozy but we all know that dealing with it is a nightmare, so I’m finding joy in not having to do that this week.
clean laundry. Is there a better feeling than slipping into clean pajamas and between clean sheets at night, especially on a cold night? This always brings joy!
oven-baked dinners. They’re somehow more comforting than those cooked on the stove, am I right?
this dress I might or might not have just purchased… What’s not to love?
Outer Banks. This has been a great distraction from the insanity this week, and also, why haven’t we watched this show sooner? It’s so good!
What’s bringing YOU joy this week?
