5 things that bring me joy this week
Check the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here, a collection of seemingly insignificant things that serve as a reminder to appreciate the little things — those small joys that make a difference in our day-to-day.
I don’t know about you, but I am utterly exhausted this week and am counting down the days till the weekend. We had a pretty active last weekend, and I also pushed myself to exercise every day so far, so I think this is why I feel so tired. Or is it the eclipse? By the way, did you watch it? I did, online and offline, and I must admit it made me emotional… I found it sweet that so many other people did, too.
I have to admit that it hasn’t been the most joyous week around here, but in the spirit of this series, I’m sharing the 5 things that bring me some joy during these tumultuous days:
keeping up with my workout despite it being the last thing I wanted to do. Discipline is something that brings me joy (and pride). My motivation? Seeing the changes, even if they’re slow coming.
getting this dress in two [lovely] colors! I love it so much! And I have zero regrets about it — it was an easy decision after this.
a long weekend with some fun plans. I’ve been looking forward to this for some time…
that [first] hot cup of coffee in the morning… I only take my coffee hot, and it feels extra special when I enjoy it with the windows open, allowing the morning’s cool air in, and listening to the birds chirping… Oh, what a delight!
curling up with a good book in the evening. As I’ve been so tired this week, I’ve been limiting my phone time and instead, reading a book I’m enjoying so far. Chillier evenings also meant curling up under the covers, so what could be better?
What’s bringing YOU joy this week?
xo,
Em
