5 things that bring me joy this week
Check the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here, a collection of seemingly insignificant things that serve as a reminder to appreciate the little things — those small joys that make a difference in our day-to-day.
Hello May, aka, what used to be my favorite month when living in a 4-season climate. I thought it was the most beautiful as nature came back to life, and the weather was finally perfectly warm. I still love this month, but it’s not the same here.
In other news, I’m not too proud of myself this week as I have mostly skipped gym. We’ve been going to bed later than usual, due to mostly situations outside of our control (like a fire alarm going off right as we were falling asleep — it was a false one, thankfully), or other things and I am struggling. Coffee has been my best friend these days, but, unfortunately, one that hasn’t been very helpful… So I decided to not push myself to exhaustion, and try to rest a bit. However, I am eager to get back to my routine ASAP.
That aside, here’s what’s bringing me joy this week:
giving my jewelry a good clean. Clean stuff just brings joy, right? I use this set for fine and silver jewelry, and this one for pearls and costume jewelry. It works great. Plus, it comes with a tiny brush for an extra “hand” at getting into crevices.
frozen yogurt “bark” with blueberries. I made this the other night, and I have to say that it’s delicious! I didn’t follow any recipe; I just spread yogurt on parchment paper covering a freezer-safe tray, and placed sliced berries on top of it (I had and used blueberries but you can use anything you like), froze, and enjoyed. I went further and covered the berries with another layer of yogurt (I used the Noosa brand in vanilla bean flavor). I will add chopped nuts in the future — I didn’t have any on hand and wanted to make it as quick and effortless as possible. It’s such a delight!
lemon water. Now that summer has arrived in Florida, for a quick and refreshing drink, I slice lemons and drop them in carafes with water to keep in the fridge. Much faster than making lemonade, plus, it has no sugar/sweetener added. We love it!
this dress being back in stock! It makes me happy that you love it as much as I do, and that you get another chance to snag it. It’s perfect for any occasion!
these shoes! I added them to my wishlist as soon as I saw them (along with these) as I have a weakness for woven styles. Just waiting on the perfect sale to snag them!
What’s bringing YOU joy this week?
