5 things that bring me joy this week
Check the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here, a collection of seemingly insignificant things that serve as a reminder to appreciate the little things — those small joys that make a difference in our day-to-day.
So, in a turn of events, I woke up this morning very irritated because I was frozen. Yes, this means it got cold enough in Florida to reach a freezing point. Well, not literally, but you get the idea.
Somehow, I couldn’t reach the covers while sleeping, and yeah… However, we were rewarded with the prettiest sunrise, so I guess Mother Nature made it up to me…
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining — I’ve been loving the weather these last few days. Plus, I think that the cold might have signaled my orchids to prepare to bloom and I’m more than okay with that… It’s the little things, you guys…
Speaking of the little things, here’s this week’s list of things that bring me joy:
cutting my hair. The moment my hair reaches below my shoulders, it gets on my nerves. Plus, the length and weight make it lose its volume, and I can’t stand it getting in my face like that. Since I like to wear my hair down, and because I strive to minimize the time I spend in the bathroom, shorter hair is where it’s at for me. I find it freeing and it just brings me joy!
this contour cream! I’ve neglected my neck for far too long, and now I have to remediate that. I bought this contour cream recently because I have been happy with this brand’s products, and so far, I’m really liking it. My skin feels instantly hydrated and better-looking overall, so, of course, I had to include it in this week’s list. Applying it actually brings me joy. The verdict’s still out on the actual “contouring” results…
the stunning sunrises and the golden light filling our place each morning and evening. We’re facing fully East, so we get quite the show in the morning and beautiful reflections of the sunset light in the afternoon. How can this not bring joy?
adding a few more silk scarves to my collection. Because I can never have enough, or more like, I clearly have a problem… but they bring me joy!
a new comedy show we discovered! Don’t worry, it will be revealed in my month-at-a-glance post soon enough, but so far, it’s only getting better. If you’re looking for ideas on what to watch, have you seen these?
What’s bringing YOU joy this week?
