I don’t know about you, but I dislike online shopping. To be more specific, the waiting part that is associated with it — the delivery, and especially the part where certain delivery companies go dead-silent on you by not updating tracking information or even providing a delivery date. So you're left wondering what the hell is going on. Of course, we all know it’s an extremely busy time for them, and I’m not complaining about how long, per se, something takes to get here, but rather, the lack of any information. Alas…

Per usual, every Wednesday, I remind myself of the things that bring me joy, because there have been way too many this year that have done the opposite, which triggered me to start this weekly series. One needs some kind of anchor to keep going, right? Basically, what I’m saying is that I need some good news on a personal level, you know

But until the big things come, here are the 5 [small] things that bring me joy this week:

  • the AMAZING weather we’ve been having! It’s definitely been warmer than usual this fall, especially in some areas as there are so many microclimates here, but I’ve been loving it! My dislike for cold is well-known if you’ve been following me for a while, so having this beautiful and warm weather when most of the world is freezing right now sure is bringing me joy!

  • listening to Christmas music! I very much prefer listening to the radio and have found ChristmasFM to be the best. This radio station always puts me in a good mood!

  • finding this gem of a bag that’s supposed to arrive tomorrow (also available here). I’m so excited about it as it’s high time for my current go-to/everyday bag to be replaced. Hoping that this leather one will last a long time, plus it’s so fun! I can’t wait to receive it!

  • my orchids growing flower spikes — blooms are on the horizon! If you’ve been here for a while, you might also know that I adore orchids (and plants in general), and after parting with the ones I had in California, I began “collecting” them again here in Florida. As it’s been getting cooler at night, my orchids have finally been triggered to bloom. Seeing the flower spike pop up is bringing me so much joy!

  • the cities dressing up for Christmas. This one’s obvious, right?

What’s bringing YOU joy this week?

Em
