Late summer musings and finds

It happens every year around this time… I lose my inspiration… Apparently, this past July broke all records in terms of heat here, just as June did, and well, it sure all makes sense now… One can only find so much inspiration while cooped up at home.

The truth is that we haven’t had a break from excessive heat since April, and when I generally, draw my inspiration from nature and being outside, well, you see how that works…

Hence, these days I look extra hard to find inspiration… retailer sites, Pinterest, various photos, and so on. Sometimes this works, and sometimes, the efforts are futile… it’s a process. The funny thing is, like many others, I am flooded with ideas while in the shower, and once I’m out, they all vanish without a trace. Don’t you just love it when that happens?

This is also a strange time as retailers are starting to roll out fall fashion and pieces, while we're all melting, and not really thinking of warm clothing. Most of the styles are lovely, though, I am not a fan of the dark colors, as you may know.

This, however also marks the beginning of the summer sales where you can score great finds at amazing prices, and I definitely am a fan of those, haha!
