The dress that keeps on giving
I mentioned in a recent blog post that my most shopped retailer this year so far has been Banana Republic Factory. Like, I can’t stop! I’ve found so many great things there, and it’s only getting better.
Case in point with another recent find — this stunning dress I wanted the moment I saw it. It’s just that good!
And I say that because this poplin dress is versatile! It’s great for the office, it works for every day, and it can even be worn to a wedding. Yes, it absolutely can be! Oh, and of course, it has pockets and it’s as elegant and feminine as it gets! To me, it’s the epitome of effortless style.
The issue is that it keeps selling out. As in, I had to watch for it to find it in my size. Which, by the way, is as it should be, aka, this dress fits true to size. I’d say that even if you find yourself in between sizes, go down as it’s fairly generous. I sized up but should have gone with my usual. I will, however, keep it as-is and size down in my next one.
The good news is that they keep expanding the color options, while also working on restocking the initial ones. They just added it in red, which, of course, I plan on purchasing in my usual size. I’m not kidding when I say I love this dress!

While I wore the dress as-is for the first time, I plan to style it in various ways depending on the occasion. For example, I will be swapping its removable belt with a straw or leather one to add a bit of contrast and make it look less formal.

Heads up: The only minus in this dress is the fabric as it wrinkles easily. It does iron/steam easily, however, keep that in mind if it’s something that bothers you.
