Fall is not necessarily my favorite season as, once the golden leaves fall, the naked trees make me sad. However, I wholeheartedly appreciate the beautiful landscape colors, though, in all honesty, those just aren’t the kind of views we get in Florida or Southern California (the only places we’ve called home for the last decade).
In spite of the almost nonexistent fall where we live, I do like to sprinkle some fall-ish home decor (along with a few small white pumpkins), to change things up a bit, and remind myself of the upcoming holidays.
When it comes to home decor, even for the fall season, I prefer natural tones and textures, and I steer clear of plasticky things - they just look cheap to me. The only exception to this rule would be the silk or preserved flowers (such as the ones I linked above), though I’m very picky about them and how they look. I like to display silk flowers once in a while (as seen in this post - yes, I have ordered from them before and was happy with their products), though I will always prefer the real [live] ones. Anyway…
As it’s still hot out there, and there are no signs of fall just yet (at least here), I’ve put together this home decor collage to bring in a subtle touch of autumn hues in your home - I hope you like my picks.
Note: Number 1 might not be autumnal, but I consider it a chic piece to be displayed any season.
Until next time.
xoxo,
Em
